The Cody Ringnecks PF chapter was formed in 1993. Dan has served as the chapters Habitat Chairman since the chapters inception.
Dans chapter has spent over $533,089 on 998 habitat projects (84,389 total acres).
In 2005, Dan received the Nebraska PF "Wildlife Professional of the Year" Award for his innovative work on CRP upgrades in Western Nebraska.
In 2004, Dan encouraged the chapters in Southwestern Nebraska to contribute dollars for habitat upgrades on CRP-MAP sites in their region. Since 2004, chapter have upgraded over 1,600 acres of CRP-MAP acres in Southwestern Nebraska.
Dans chapter supports a number of statewide habitat programs including Corners for Wildlife, CRP-MAP, and the State Habitat Raffle.
Dan recently retired from the Nebraska Game & Parks Commission as a Wildlife District Manager in North Platte. Dan now plans to spend his spare time enjoying the resource he helped improve over the years.
