Get out and learn: Youth Mentor Hunt

 | A sample hunt gave students in the Prairie Hills Chapter of Pheasants Forever Youth Mentor Hunt Saturday a feeling for what it takes to hunt with other people and dogs. The main point of the morning safety demonstration was muzzle control and knowing the zone of safe firing. About 25 participants went through classes including habitat, pattern and shot sizes, and got to shoot clay pigeons Saturday at the Fort Kearney Shooting Sports Association northeast of Kearney. |
